Living in The Olympus Cove Neighborhood
Situated on the northwestern slopes of Mount Olympus in the Wasatch Mountains range, the neighborhood gives residents one of the best close-up views of one of the most recognizable mountaintops anywhere in the metropolitan Salt Lake City area. Known best for its twin peaks, Mount Olympus is a favored destination for many hikers from Salt Lake City. With more than 7,000 residents, the neighborhood is an ideally picturesque suburban community with many upscale homes, including those that have been reinforced with flying buttresses to avoid sliding. For winter enthusiasts and lovers of snow, Olympus Cove provides plenty of opportunities every year. The downtown just minutes away might get a dusting or a couple of inches but the eastside neighborhood could easily top a foot of fresh snow in a storm. The good news is that snow removal is quick, effective and thorough – making it easy to reach any of the four world-class ski resorts within a 20-minute trip from the neighborhood.
